barbeque grill partsFor those of you who are new owners of our amazing La Caja China roasting boxes, we are dedicating this blog post to showcase and explain the various barbecue grill parts that help make it an awesome grilling partner. For you to be able to take advantage of our grills’ awesome features, get to know each of their parts by reading our article today.

1. The Box

Our original series is made up of two models: roasting box model #1 and roasting box model #2. Both are equally great when it comes to barbecueing and whole pig roasting. They have boxes made from long-wearing BC plywood and lined with durable aluminum material for better heat induction.  Model #1 has a dimension of [48” L x 24” W x 20” H] while model #2 measures [48” L x 24” W x 24” H]. The first model has a depth of 8.75” while the second one is 12.75” deep. Both boxes are capable of withstanding constant usage and may in fact last for more than 15 years with proper care and maintenance.

In terms of versatility, both models are capable of roasting 16 to 18 pieces of whole chickens, 4 to 6 turkeys, 8 to 10 pork shoulders or 8 to 10 pork ribs slabs all at the same time. Pretty neat, huh?

2. Dripping Pan

The La Caja China comes with a large dripping pan that’s specially designed to hold all the juices that flow out of your food while being grilled. This pan minimizes the mess that we seldom create whenever we barbecue juicy meat. Thus, cleaning is no longer a daunting task.

3. Meat Racks

Both models of the Original series come with two pieces of stainless steel meat racks. These are likewise hardwearing and can withstand high temperatures. They are also easy to clean and do not collect and harden particles from your food as compared to other grills. If you want to ensure that food won’t stick to the racks, all you have to do is rub an onion on the grates.

4. S/S Hooks

The S/S hooks secure your pig and other types of meat onto the racks. This way, you won’t have to worry about flipping the pig over and then accidentally dropping it. You just have to flip the racks when you have to turn the hog (or other food items) on its other side.

5. S/S Metal Handles

The metal handles make the placement and removal of the racks and grill inside the box hassle-free.

6. Charcoal Grid

The La Caja China has its own separate charcoal grid. Just pour the coals onto it, light them all up and then barbecue away. Because the charcoal grid is a separate component from the box itself, the latter isn’t prone to damage caused by the heat of the coals.

7. Ash Tray

As the name implies, the ash tray is specially tasked to hold the ashes produced by the coals. Again, cleaning becomes easier because all you have to do is remove the tray and dispose the ash. You don’t have to clean the entire assembly unlike other grills require.

8. Long Handles

If you need to peek into your pig roast, you won’t have to put the ash tray and charcoal grid some place else. Just put the grid and ash tray on top of the long handles and you’re ready to check on your pig’s soon-to-be-crispy skin!

9. Solid Wheels

Just when you think that you can never bring your La Caja China to the beach, you’re mistaken. Its 4 solid plastic wheels allow owners to take the roasting box anywhere without breaking a sweat. Simply roll it away and barbecue wherever you want: your patio, your front lawn, your backyard, on the street. Wherever possible!

10. Marinating Syringe or Injector

We know how much you love pig roasting so to help you make your pig even more flavorful, the La Caja China roasting boxes come with a marinating syringe. It will help you inject your favorite marinade into your pig.
