best-bbqHamburgers and summer go well together. Weekends (or weekdays even) during this time of the year are spent as easily as firing up the grill; cooking delicious burger patties; putting them on sandwich buns; getting a bottle of ice-cold beer then enjoying the rest of the afternoon relaxing in the porch. But if you’re looking for something different than beef burgers with TLC, check out these killer recipes!

1. Grilled Blue Cheese Burgers

Get a bowl and mix the ground beef, salt, garlic powder, green onions, cayenne, Worcestershire sauce, black pepper, dry mustard and blue cheese together. Mix all the ingredients thoroughly to distribute their flavors. Divide the ground beef mixture into equal portions and grill over medium heat. Cook until the patties reach your desired doneness and place them on toasted steak buns.

2. Southwest Turkey Burgers

Grill the bacon strips and remove once done. While waiting, get a bowl and combine your turkey meat, shallot (or onion), garlic, thyme, parsley, jalapeno or bell pepper, hot pepper sauce, cumin, grill seasoning, salt and pepper. Divide the ground turkey mixture into equal portions then drizzle with vegetable oil. Grill over medium heat for about 5 to 6 minutes on each side. Top with cheddar cheese slices and then place into buns.

3. Beer Burgers

Mix ground beef, garlic, onion, Worcestershire sauce, salt and pepper in a large bowl.  Add the beer and continue mixing until the beef absorbs the liquid. Form into equally proportioned patties. Cook on the grill for about 5 minutes on each side or until they reach your desired donness.

4. Grilled Mushroom Swiss Burger

Melt some butter in a skillet. Add the mushrooms, some soy sauce and garlic. Cook until the butter dries up then set aside. Now get a bowl and mix together the ground beef, garlic powder, salt and pepper. Mix them thoroughly to distribute the flavors. Grill the patties for about 5 minutes on each side. Top them with cheese slices while still on the grill. Remove from heat once the cheese has melted then place them in buns. Top with the mushrooms.

5. Jalapeno Poppers Burger

In a large mixing bowl, combine chopped japaleno peppers, garlic powder, ground cumin, chopped onion, chili powder, barbecue sauce, Italian bread crumbs and ground beef. Divide mixture equally and create patties out of it. Grill patties for about 5 minutes on each side. Put in buns and serve with your choice of condiments.
