What’s the difference between the aluminum and the galvanized box?

Both types are made from high-quality materials that last for years. You’ll surely be able to enjoy your roasting box for 10 years or maybe even more as long as you take care of it properly. Aluminum boxes are cheaper, long-lasting and corrosion-free. Galvanized boxes, meanwhile, cost more and yet more beautiful. However, you should be consistent when cleaning these because galvanized steel is not rust-free.

How do you keep the La Caja China clean and free from rust?

The La Caja China should be cleaned after every use. Proper care will prolong the life of your roasting box. To ensure that the cleaning agent you’ll use will not harm the La Caja China, only use our degreaser which is specially designed for our products. Just spray it inside the box and on the grids then thoroughly rinse with soap and water. Make sure that it is completely dry before storing it.

Can you roast whole pigs in all the boxes?

You can roast whole pigs in all of them except the aluminum box model #3. It’s small so you can only cook a 20-pound suckling pig in it.

How versatile is the La Caja China?

The La Caja China is so versatile that it doesn’t only work like a pig roasting oven. You can use it to grill all types of food: lamb, chicken, turkey, pork, beef, ribs, steaks, fish, seafood, vegetables and fruits! Not only that, you can maximize the use of your charcoals because you can roast food items together, at the same time.

Approximately how much charcoal do you need to roast a pig?

You’ll use approximately 2 ½ bags of 18-pound per bag charcoals.

Is it easy to assemble the box?

Yup, it is. The galvanized box is shipped pre-assembled. The aluminum box, meanwhile, should be assembled by the customer. Don’t worry though because it’s pretty easy to set up. Just follow the instructions manual that comes with the package.
